Privacy Policy
This Privacy Policy explains how InkPop Store ("InkPop", "we", "us", "our") collects, uses, discloses and protects personal information when you visit inkpopstore.in or place an order with us (together, the "Site"). It is drawn up in line with the Information Technology Act, 2000 and the Information Technology (Reasonable Security Practices and Procedures and Sensitive Personal Data or Information) Rules, 2011, and reflects the consent-first, purpose-limited approach of the Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023.
1. Scope
This policy covers information we collect directly from you (for example, when you create an account, place an order, or contact customer care), and information collected automatically as you browse the Site. It does not cover the practices of third-party sites we may link to, including social media platforms.
2. What We Collect

Information collected automatically
- Login sessions created when you verify a one-time password (OTP) sent to your email.
- Device, browser and approximate location information, and standard web server logs.
- Cookies and similar technologies as described in Section 4.
Information we do not store
We do not collect or store your card number, UPI PIN, or net-banking credentials. These are handled directly by our payment partner, Razorpay, under its own security and privacy practices.
3. How We Use It
We use personal information only for the purposes for which it was collected, including to:
- Create and secure your account, and verify your identity via OTP.
- Process and fulfil your orders, including delivery, store pickup, and payment reconciliation.
- Send order-related communications by email, WhatsApp, or SMS, such as confirmations, pickup-ready and shipping updates.
- Respond to customer care queries and grievances.
- Improve the Site and detect, prevent, or investigate fraud or misuse.
- Comply with applicable law, including tax and consumer-protection record-keeping requirements.
We do not use your personal information for purposes beyond these without asking for your consent first, and we do not sell your personal information to third parties.
4. Cookies
We use strictly necessary cookies to keep you logged in and to remember items in your cart between visits. We do not currently use third-party advertising or analytics cookies. If this changes, we will update this section and, where required, ask for your consent before setting non-essential cookies.
5. Sharing & Disclosure
We share personal information only where necessary to run the Site and fulfil your order, with:
- Payment partners (Razorpay) to process online payments.
- Logistics and delivery partners to ship your order or coordinate store pickup.
- Communication providers that send order emails, WhatsApp messages, and SMS on our behalf.
- Law enforcement or regulators, only where required by law or a valid legal process.
Each of these partners is only given the information they need to perform their specific function, and is contractually or otherwise required to keep it confidential.
6. Security & Retention
We use reasonable technical and organisational measures, including encrypted connections (HTTPS) and access controls on our systems, to protect your information from unauthorised access, alteration, or disclosure. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security. We retain order and account information for as long as your account is active and thereafter for as long as needed to meet accounting, tax, and consumer-protection record-keeping obligations under Indian law.
7. Your Rights
You may, at any time, ask us to:
- Confirm what personal information we hold about you and provide a copy of it.
- Correct inaccurate or outdated information in your account.
- Delete your account and associated personal information, subject to records we are legally required to retain.
- Withdraw consent for optional communications, such as marketing messages (note: this does not affect order-related messages, which are necessary to fulfil your purchase).
To exercise any of these rights, write to us using the contact details in Section 11. We will respond within a reasonable time and in any event within the timelines set out in our Grievance Redressal page.
8. Children's Privacy
The Site is intended for use by adults. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 18 without the involvement of a parent or guardian. If you believe a child has provided us with personal information without appropriate consent, please contact us and we will delete it.
9. Grievance Officer
In accordance with the Information Technology Act, 2000 and rules made thereunder, our Grievance Officer's details are published on our Grievance Redressal page, along with the process and timelines for raising a privacy-related complaint.
10. Policy Updates
